We are proud to support new teachers at VUSD by providing them with a mentor.
All teachers new to the profession will receive a mentor to guide them through their first years with our district. Teachers who have a preliminary credential can enroll in our Induction program at no cost and will be paired with a mentor. Those who are still working toward their preliminary credential will also be matched with a mentor while they complete their program.
To recognize their valuable work, mentors receive a stipend for their commitment to helping our new teachers succeed.
