Complaint Procedures

The Vacaville Unified School District uses specific procedures for handling different types of complaints. The District's Board Policies and Administrative Regulations contain more details concerning the process for lodging complaints and corresponding appeal rights. The District encourages early, informal resolution of complaints whenever possible. Many issues are best resolved by discussions between the parties involved. Please click the links on the left for the different types of complaints pertaining to Instructional Material, State and Federal Programs or Title IX complaints.

Concerns Regarding District Employees

Concerns raised about school district personnel should be resolved as quickly as possible. VUSD urges individuals to discuss concerns directly with the employee(s) in question when concerns surface. For more information regarding the complaint process, or to file a formal complaint, please review Administrative Regulation 1312.1 - Complaints Concerning District Employees.
